Dont know what your talking about. My header didn't come with anything of the sort. I just installed it and went on my way to more lag but better top end power.

Well like I said I have my header installed and I DO NOT have anything wrapped other then the header themselves. However I wrapped the header for the sole purpose of reducing lag.

header heat

I have had the cusco headers for almost two years...they come with heat shields that are mounted on the headers via nuts. Well about a month after the install the studs holding the heat shields cracked and so i removed the heatshields...been well over a year. To date I have not had any issues with hoses melting or the heat warping anything..
