If you're referring to the SPT/STi catback featured in Drive Performance magazine, it won't sound 'blatty' like a ricey fart can. Subaru wanted it to have a pleasing sound, while still generating a few more horsepower. Also, I've heard a lot of afermarket WRX exhaust systems, from 3" catbacks to 3" catless twin-dump systems, and none of them sound like other Japanese imports because we have the only current cars marketed with four-cylinder boxer engines.
