exhaust location for EGT gauge probe?
A quick
I have an egt probe in my down pipe I am going to get a new down pipe should i move the probe to a better location? I have heard that the header is a better palce. I ask because it is easy to make holes and stupid hard to block them up and make it look good.
I think he's talking about an exhaust gas temperature probe, for an aftermarket guage. If so, the best place for it is in the header, off of cylinder #3 (since that one runs the leanest). It'd be most accurate and helpful there.
