Question Exhaust Cut Out

Hey Guys...My Friend just gave me his brand new exhaust cut out piece and i was wondering what i needed to go along with it...like do i need up or down pipe to make it complete???

yeah its exactly like the qtec......seems koo but is getting the exhaust/ up and down pipe better performance wise? i know that installing the qtec is stealthy cuz all i gotta do is hit the switch to hide it

just wanna up date for ya'LL.....the cut out is in....and its loud as HELL....its mounted to my mid pipe and the dood took out my resonator ...so yeah imma be pulled over hella times haha....i needa get my electronics installed for it so i can close that bad boy....can anyone help me by showing me where the firewall is???? i needa install the switch to shut off the hole where the exhaust comes out now.....help me pleeeease

Watch the video on that website of the WRX. The top nut is loose and everytime they rev it up the nut spins. HA HA makes me really wanna buy one.

^i saw that.... the nut was spining(spinners)! i did disconnected my cat back exhaust(the down pipe connected)...... man it sounds like a drag car and you can hear alot of turbo spool! :banana: ooo yeah i drove it around a block.... its a real head turner!

my buddy had one welded onto a HKS downpipe a while back and he sold it to someone and they installed it and dynoed an extra 23HP over stock

The C6 Z06 has what they call "butterfly valves" right before its mufflers...it's pretty much the same idea as this thread's concept, except it is computer controlled. For example, if it's under load and the throttle position is right, it will atomatically open up the valves allowing the exhaust gasses to bypass the mufflers, therefore creating straight pipes. I guess it's a pretty good system as it's hard to get them to open up under normal driving.
