downside to this if running stock is ecu learning, on a stock tune or tuned flash this would most likely make the car run lean.
I got an ecutek reflash with only an uppipe, once I added a free flowing downpipe(still with stock 3rd cat) my car started running lean because I opened up the air flow.

One of the local tuners (Moike or Ed) might be able to better comment on this though.
Maybe a cobb accessport would be enough with 2 custom maps?

I wonder what map the accessport could be swapped over to for running in the open header mode? I personally have never ventured past my stage one mapping but I see the accessport as a handy tool to have with something like this.

well i have an ecutek reflash, so i'd probably have to get a tuner to get two maps. Would it be worth it to get a second tune for this? ... do you think with a proper map, this setup can give u 30-40 whp gain with a vf34?

Or maybe you could tune with the this thing open, and then run pretty rich when the downpipe is closed?

how do you like it? can you notice a power difference even without tune? or is it more of an intimidation factor.

Just run straight pipes, Henry! Actually, I have a question, and I don't mean to digress from the topic, but can you 'technically' get a ticket for no muffler even if it is under the decible level limit?

Seems like there would be an exhaust leak at the electronic gate, and you would also have flames shooting out from under your car right next to your tranny.

well flames dont shoot out unless your running rich. i feel that i could get up to 150mph faster with the exhaust open than with a regular 3" catback.
