Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Engine runs on after ignition switched off (was: I need your help?)

Does that aftermarket gear include a turbo timer? If so that is what is keeping your car running. The ECU is not capable of doing this on its own once the ignition has been turned off.

You say your car has aftermarket stuff on it.

The car running after you shut it off would be a turbo timer. Look for it.

The turbo gauge is not reading because the vacuum hose leading to it is either kinked, or it has been disconnected altogether. Follow the vacuum line from the gauge until you find the problem.

It seems that you should find the original owner of the car and have him give you a once over of everything that has been modified, so you know.
