Engine Mod for WRX

hello,

is there a WRX tuner out there that can increase HP & Torque at the same time still be smog legal in California?

i heard Neuspeed can modify a VW Golf & be smog legal in 50 states. what about for WRX's?

thanks for the info.

i believe any of the reflashes should be undetectable to california smog tests. cobb, vishnu, i-speed, and prodrive all use the same technology called ECUTek which reflashes the stock ECU with different fuel, spark, and boost curves.

yeah, but how do you conceal a gutted uppipe, or catless uppipe, since you need to either disconnect the EGT gauge, or install a different type?

thats a different story. But the original question has been answered.

so to answer your question....keep your stock stuff, so when you go to get it smoged, you can swap it back to stock. Or dont modify your car....you wount have any smog issues

There no smog legal mods for the WRX in california save for catback exhausts. That even includes panel filters and blow off valves. However, a reflash is not detectable.

Not sure if I understand BAN SUVS. So BOV's and Panel Filters are not legal mods?

Panel filters are considered replacement parts (for the most part). So there is no need for an OE number. As a replacement part, it will not affect the sniffer test or visual test....
