ej20 piston and rod limitations
Hi yal, wondering if anyone could tell me what the HP (crank or wheel) limitations are on OEM pistons and rods on a ej20 before they start breaking? Is it possible to run 350 whp on them?

what about a VF34 with the Cobb Accessport puts out 320hp, is that still pushing it or its alright but don't go any higher, becuase that's what I wanted was a daily driver VF34 but didn't want to have to upgrade the internals.

300whp is when the pistons will be mincemeat if the tune isn't spot on. if the tune is flawless (ie, NEVER knocks) then the rods will be the next point of failure. 400whp is when the rods get tossed out the block.
add about 100hp to the whp numbers for crank hp.
