Question EGT Sensor Resistor MOd

OK so i bought the 2.2k-ohm @5watt resistor for my failing EGT sensor on the up-pipe. My only question is this, there are 4 wires on the sensor clip, 2 black (should be ground) 1 white and 1 blue. So which way do i run the resistor? Blue to white, Blue and white to black? I dont really mess with electrical stuff so please help me out guys.

That's 2.2k ohm, 1/2 watt resistor. Make sure you got the right one before you plug it in. And the uppipe harness connector, which is right next to the boost solenoid on the passenger side strut tower, only has 2 holes. What year is your WRX?

are you sure cause i followed the wires from the EGT sensor in the side of the up-pipe and all the wires lead to it. I do have the right resistor though i just forgot the decimal point.
