Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

egt help

I am about to install an autometer egt gauge and im not sure where to put it. I know the best location is in cylinder 3 but autometer gauges only go to 1600 and i think that is to low. I will also be installing a helix flex up pipe around the same time should i just use the pre made bung?

I have my EGT probe in the passenger side portion of the header. It is upstream of the stock O2 sensor:

I tapped my ex manifold on Cylinder 3 about 2 inches from the block (talk about a ***** to get to) but anyway as far tas the temp reading goes i think 1600 should be fine but dont quote me on that.
