Dyno Tuning

So I just had my 2005 WRX dyno tuned today.

I'm pretty happy with the subtle difference that I noticed while driving. All in all, it was good.

Take a look at my pictures because I have pictures of the base map run, the test map run, and both runs on one graph. I've known that mustang dynos typically produce lower numbers than a dynojet due to variables, but the numbers produced with the mustang dyno are the same as a stock 2005 wrx.

This was my first time ever tuning it, and the first time it's ever been tuned. Do these seem right to you guys?

I've been reading around about dynos, so hopefully they will make sense to me, but none have thus far.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Depends on your mods.

What mods do you have on the car? Did it have a tune before you went in for the dyno tune or is the baseline run on the stock map?

Thanks

catless everything...greddy ti-c, megan racing uppipe, invidia downpipe, greddy rs- bov, injen CAI, and a boost pill. that it as far as engine related mods.

The previous owner had never dynoed the car, so this was the first time when I took it in. before I took it in to GST, it was flashed at STG 2 with Cobb AP, then the guys at GST base mapped it, and then tuned it from there. He said my injectors were maxed out now.

Mike is absolutely right about that. Stage 2 power is max for most of the your stock components. What are you plans for the car? Do you want to continue to mod or stop? You have alot of choices at this point. Good Luck.

Cool

At this point, I have no future modifications planned. Possibly an aftermarket fuel rail and sti injectors but that may be it.

Like i mentioned, I ain't tripping bout the numbers because I'm sure if i use a dynojet the numbers would be different. The car is already plenty fast and I can literally feel a difference from it being dynotuned.

Nothing i should worry about right? After all, they're just numbers right? Haha!

Thanks for evetyones input so far!

you dont need to upgrade the fuel rail for that setup but the injectors would be a good choice

Any other mods should be saved as supporting mods for a turbo upgrade at this point. Yeah also right, numbers don't mean as much as how strong the car feels afterwards. The only numbers that are important are the air/fuel being correct and how much boost your running. That's it. Enjoy your newly acquired power.

Since it hasn't been said yet, those plots look totally normal for a Stage2-ish WRX on that dyno on 91 octane.

Not surprised to hear the injectors are maxed either.

I would say those are really healthy numbers on a tdo4 and a 2.0 especially with minimal money into mods. You want more time for a turbo fuel pump and injectors......
