which DOWNPIPE would you get?
I'm trying to buy a DP with what little money I got....I am deciding between :
INVIDIA ($400)
vs
HKS ($150)
vs
Helix ($350)
vs
Perrin ($450)
What are yoru opinions/experiences with these. Mind you, I am considering getting an HKS Hi-Power cat-back soon. Hopefully they bolt on right.
Thanks.

hks sucks in quality, invida and helix are pretty good...im going by what ive heard...perrin, vishnu, and the aps flex joint are the best...are you sure hte perrin is that much $? and if you havent already done it, get a uppipe first-its more restrictive

I love the sound of my HKS, plus it replaces the down and mid pipe, removing 2 restrictive cats. If you remove these cats, and the one on your up-pipe, get a monster 3 inch V8 cat on your exhaust for some serious power gains.
...But I live in CO, which has virtually no emissions

The HKS sucks for anything more than moderate power due to its relatively small piping diameter, and poor inlet design, and mediocre build quality.
The NVidia and perrin units are very nice (especially for the money) and will make more power than the HKS.

I currently have the HKS and for the price its a good bang for the buck. 3" piping and replaces both of the cats. If you don't want to spend that much and want a decent downpipe upgrade, the HKS is a good way to go.
But i've had my HKS for 4 months now and i'm working out some details, and soon i will have a Helix downpipe for a good price.

the design of the hks dp might not be that good, however if your not pushing over 300 hp, the hks will do just fine. how is the quality of the hks downpipe bad? i've read somewhere that their quality control is terrific. One error, and they toss the product out. i recall it was an article from Super street magazine
