I installed a new RSB on my car today and I noticed that my Stromung twin tip exhaust has some surface rust on the can, tips and the piping. None of my TXS or Blitz (sold) had this problem so does Stromung use a low quality grade of stainless or what? It’s only around 6 months old so it’s not the old style that was known to rust. Just wondering if any one else has experienced this or not.

BTW, as long as it doesn’t rust through the piping or can I don’t mind polishing the minor surface rust off of the tips every week. IMO it is worth it since this exhaust looks stock and sounds great at WOT.

 

I got a dual tip, i will jack up the car tommorow and check it out for you.

 

I didnt see any rust at all any where on the can or the tips.

 

Thanks for taking the time to look. After posting the same question on another site I found out that this is a common problem but nothing to worry about. Even Rich from Daddy’s said he has to clean surface rust off of his.
