difference in jdm and usdm recirc valve?

difference in jdm and usdm recirc valve?
Is there a difference in a jdm & usdm recirculating valve? I have both but the jdm valve feels soft, the usdm is much stiffer. One the jdm I can easily push it in with one finger the usdm not so. Also the jdm has a small hole in the housing ( factory). The usdm dont have it. the housing have the same number but the diaphragm has a different number,not sure if that means anything. Thanks for any info guys you can give
