I was on my way home today from a tbell run and i decided to romp on it around a corner, took it up to 6 grand and i hear the WORST whine coming from the center-ish area. Earlier that day i took off my BOV to attempt to change it out with a recirc, but decided to put it back on due to lack of time (getting dark). The gasket was chewed up but it looked fine for the most part, no tears or holes. Oil was changed less than 1k ago. I did take my TMIC off, but i put it back on nice and snug. Any suggestions??

Before anyone raises flags about the injectors, the previous owner had a vf39in it before i bought it, but failed to swap the injectors with stock

Any info would help, the whine only happens when im hitting high boost, proably from 10-18 psi. Otherwise the car runs great, no smoke, idles fine, just that horrible sound that sounds like a duck screaming. I have a bad feeling its a blown turbo because i checked the forums and people who have posted about bad bov gaskets say the sound is more of a "squirell getting his nuts crushed" sound lol! This is just a horrible whine =(

loud screaming during boost is a preturbo leak.

 

turbo inlet may be cracked how do i check for leaks? youtubing it lol

 

Wrong. Post turbo leak. Change your BOV gasket numb nutz.

I had the same whine one time when I forgot to snug up my bpv. :/

 

Yup BOV gasket. If I was a squirrel getting my nuts crushed I would be screaming, and whining.....at the same time.....
