The hesitation could be from your lack of engine management.

i could be, but when like i said when i shift into a gear comming from redline, it gets into a higher rpm really quick, then it dies down and catches back up.. and it does that everytime.. even when i am rolling and punch it, when it builds boost around 3500 rpm, it goes up to 4000rpm extremely fast then it goes back down to about 3500 again... i also noticed that when im just driving, when i put on the clutch and take my foot off the gas, it seems like the rpm stays up a little longer like it stays the same when i shift.. instead of dying rpms right as i take my foot off the peddle... maybe i should just meet somehwere with you sometime to show you what the *** is going on..

i did your mom... at first i thought that was the noise, but now the sounds on all the time, its a contant whistle... ill admit thought it does sounds preaty slick driving it whitseling everywhere.. but it does get old...

i was thinking that maybe it could be a hose loose or something...

Argh, that sounds like the symptoms of a clutch going out. It could be something else though.

Let me know if you want to swing by sometime. You could also come by the weekly Saturday night meet in Natomas. 6PM at the corner of Del Paso and Natomas/Truxel. We're in the Border's lot, closer to the end where Pick Up Stix is.

ok i put new gaskets in the top and bottom of the uppipe.. and it still is leaking somehwhere.. its almost like its a hose cracked or something... but it does sound like its comming str8 from the intercooler when inside the car...

check your bov i have seen the come loose a little ,and i have seen gfb bovs base loosen up from the body and cause that same whistle. anyways it is a bov whistle i see it all the time.

it does sound like it is, only becuase its so loud comming from that area, and when its relasing the excess air its really loud also... but where do i check... becuz the bolts are on tight and it seems to be on there...

check the clamp that holds the hose on the bov. also unbolt it and check the gasket. to might have a hole in the hose somewhere also.

Did you take the inercooler off to do the downpipe install? I always leave mine on so I didn't even think about that. As sonic said, and if you did indeed remove the IC, the hose that clamps onto the turbo outlet is a common source of leak. The BOV gasket should be okay as I re-used mine several times, but it is worth checking also. Also check the vacuum line off the end of the BOV.

Do you have a boost gauge? Are you seeing lower than normal boost levels when the whistling is happening?

the clamp that is on the turbo is on preaty tight, yues i have a boost guage and no my boost has stayed the same throughout this whole headaching journey..

oh and an update, my check engine light came on last night when i was driving, but im preaty sure that it is for my downpipe....

I'm thinking your problem is before the turbo. If it was the hoses after the turbo or BOV, you should see a drop in boost. That brings us back to the uppipe or downpipe.

which if it was the uppipe, i replaced both gaskets on the uppipe, but yet i didnt on the downpipe, but the downpipe had doubled gaskets when i took it off, the only thing i could think of would be a leak in the flex section of the uppipe, but it is brand new, could there be a leak in it that fast??
