Deadbolt TD04 w/ CObb stage 2?

I found out about deadbolt while searching, and going with a ported TD04 seems like a better option for me than upgrading my turbo and fuel delivery to the tune of $1200 - $1400. Does anyone know the compatability of running the ported turbo with a stage 2 package and map? Would I need bigger injectors? Any input would be appreciated.

I can't give you a definite answer but I have read posts that say the injectors are pretty close to maxed out with the cobb stage 2. I'll try to find the thread for you.

you'll need bigger injectors, trust me. i've talked to Jerry at deadbolt about this. using the stock engine management and the ported TD04 you are fine with the stock injectors. if you start tuning the ECU, you're probably going to max out the injector duty cycle if you go with anything but the most conservative tuning job ever. stage 2 will definitely require bigger injectors, if for nothing other than a good safety margin.

Thanks Bro, so then would something like the STi pink injectors work? Would I need a bigger fuel pump as well? This is starting to look like a less fesable option.

STi pinks are going to give you plenty of flow to support any tuning for a ported TD04. you'll probably need a pump too, but thats cheap compared to the injectors.

hmmm. that is rather suprising. when i talked to Jerry at deadbolt, i recall him mentioning that a ported TD04 would flow enough to max out the stock injectors. maybe it is possible, but i for one would certainly want them if for nothing else than a safety margin.

if you're going with larger injectors, an off the shelf stage 2 map will not work for you. you're going to need a custom tune from whoever does your engine management.
