Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

could there be any damage?

Angry could there be any damage?

Well, after i got my downpipe and uppipe installed, i drove the car around HARD. a couple days later, i noticed i was leaking oil. I was stupid enough to not have noticed for a while and a large stained gathered on my garage floor. I took the car back to the shop and he said the bolt was loose on the oil feed line to the turbo. which is why my turbo would always be smoking (burning oil) and why i had oil all over my downpipe axles tranny etc. I had leaked about a quart in the whole timespan. After fixing everything I changed my oil and drove the car around. I noticed the turbo doesnt have that smooth of a sound like it kind of flutters a bit. It might be just me but im not sure. Could there have been any damage done driving around hard with about 3.8 quarts of oil in my engine with the rest leaking out of my turbo's oil feed line?

Thats a tough question. It depends on if any oil was reaching your turbo at all when your line was loose. Usually if you burn up a turbo's oil seal, you will burn a lot of oil through your turbo and your car will be smoking qite bad. If your car isn't smoking then you are probably ok.

there is still a bit of smoking left , i assume its from the leaked oil burning off. Its not thick either just kinda unnoticable and transparent.

theres no smoke out of the exhaust. Everything seems fine but.. the turbo still kind of has a fluttering sound as opposed to a smooth sound (from before) around 2,500 rpms when i do half throttle. its not really that noticable though. could it be just me? do you think anything could have been weakened so I'll suffer the consequences later on?

Its probably your wastegate making the fluttering noise or you could be hearing new engine and turbo noise from your new downpipe. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Give it some time... as long as there isnt any smoking you should be just fine.

Did you check for exhaust leaks?
