Check engine light

I have an 04 with just a turbo timer and my CEL light came on. After i filled up i noticed the light, so i pulled over and checked the gas cap, it was on tight. Now the light is being funny because sometimes itll be off when i start the car (usually when its cold) then itll turn on later (when engine is warmed up). I'm kinda weary about bringing it to dealer even though i am under warranty. I'm afraid they are gonna say something about my turbo timer. Do you think the turbo timer could be the cause? Thanks in advance guys

the turbo timer (unless it's wired really, *really* wrong) will be no different than if you sat in your car letting it idle for 30 seconds when you park. In fact, (imho) you should just do that, and sell the turbo timer.

it could simply be a bad tank of gas, or it could be any number of things. best advice, check out the BAIC and see if you can meet up with somebody that has a code reader and go from there.

they very well may say soemthing about the turbo timer, cause as we all know it does void warrenty, but i think u should give it another tank of gas, i am guessing you put wrong octane in? lol possibly not but who knows. i am sure if you did ur car would be knocking like crazy

Or you could go to an Autozone and get the code read if you cannot meet up with anyone, and then check out the sticky with a list of the codes to see what happend.
