I was wondering if one were to leave the down pipe cat in and remove cat #1 and #3, would the CEL light still be on? Also, scooby sport is having a sale on intercooler,upipe and ecuteck ecu for 900. Is this a good package to start with? Or should I do full turbo back exhaust instead. And YES I have spent the last week using the search button. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

 

I would think it would give you a CEL simply because you have removed a cat, and the ECU is going to think you have a bad cat where the one you removed is supposed to be and will talk to you accordingly.

 

if you're really worried about the cel light coming on, you could always get the cel fix, whether it be the mechanical fix or the electronic one where u tap into the actual sensor itself.

 

what kind of "intercooler" were you referring to? were they selling a bigger intercooler...???

to answer your question, if you think about the prices an uppipe will go for 175, ecutek will run you about 700 plus whatever IC you were referring too.
