if i get sent to the state ref for a next-day smog test, can i slap on my stock dp and keep the cel fix installed or would i have to remove the cel fix?

It depends on what cel fix you used? Did you do it electronicaly or mechanically?

If it is an electronic fix I would suggest removing it because if they put your car up on a lift and see the box you can get hit for a fairly large fine. If you are going to the state ref you need to take your car back to as close to stock as you can and remove anything that is not CARB approved.

It really depends on who does the inspection and what methods they use so I could be totally wrong. Good Luck.
