CEL Code (P0457)
I was wondering if anyone else has been having Check Engine Light (CEL) problems. My CEL will sporadically come on and throw the code P0457 (evaporative emission control system leak detected. Either overfilling the gas tank or not tightening the fuel cap sufficiently usually causes this problem. However, I never overfill the tank and I always tighten at least 3 clicks. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone has suggestions on the cause. The only mod I have remaining on the car is the M2 performance turbo back exhaust. M2 ensures me that this would not be causing this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated ---- that little orange light is driving me insane!!

Could be there really is a leak in the evaporative system someplace, i.e. loose hose etc.
It's under warranty, take it to the dealer and let them fix it. Just be very insistent when they say "oh, you just didn't tighten the gas cap". Tell them you're aware of that, that you always tighten the cap and the code keeps coming back. Leave the car there until they find the cause.
