CEL after installing boost gauge
Just installed my autometer boost gauge and 10 minutes later, I get a CEL!! what is going on. I remember one time after installing my blow off valve, it went on temporarily and went away after I tighted the screws. IS there a leak somewhere?
Check for vaccum leaks. There is a hose attached to the bypass valve that connects to the throttle body under the IC, if you were pulling on that hose it might have come off.
If there is a vacuum leak you should notice the car not running right, the idle will be rough and power will be down.
Look for anything else that may have gotten unplugged or disconnected during the install.
It would also be very helpful if you can get the code read to see what it is.
