burning oil smell
Ok guys in the last 2 weeks I been smelling oil and saw a lil bit of smoke. Now non leaks on the ground at all I have looked I got under car to look for leak and nothing I see 2 big bolts that look like allen wrench holes infront of oil pan one looks like maybe just maybe it may be leaking cuz it was cleaner then the other one I cleaned it so I'm going to check again later. smoke was coming from like under turbo. Only work they have done in the near past is cluth about 2 months ago and timing belt prior to that. Does anybody have any ideas maybe a common leak place that oil may just fall onto exhaust or headers up or down pipe?? any help is welcomed TIA Miguel

How many miles on that turbo? I know people are gonna say that those turbos last forever but I've blown one and the one I have is getting tired and it was brand new when I put it in from the dealership.
When they go you start getting oil burn off. Is the smoke coming up through the right side of the hood and the hood scoop? I'd take a look at all the lines around the turbo too. Sounds like it's coming from that area. Maybe give it a good wash over there and then check it every couple days for new oil.

either your turbo is going out or your CV boot under the turbo has a rip. happened to me and the oil spills on the exhaust and smoke arises out the scoop from the turbo side. the hot turbo does a number on that CV boot. fix for the boot. lol you can try to use transaxle grease every time you change ur oil and duct tap it loosly so it can move freely or just let it go out and replace it down the road. im pretty sure you have to remove the axle from the car tho.
