Bov Not Venting???????
Hey, I'm getting a random problem with my BOV not venting when I close the throttle to shift to 3rd gear. It only happens coming out of second gear at 7-12psi of boost. The only relavant part related to this is a GFB hybrid BOV. 100% stock boost settings and levels. It feels like the car momentarally wants to keep accelerating once I let go of the gas. Then decells like normal once the boost gauge drops a second later. It happens at partial throttle or wide open. I do not hear or feel any audible compressor surge or air backing up into the turbo. I am just wondering if any one else gets this with a non recirculating BOV. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for the time...Craig

I talked to GFB and they said the valve is maintence free. This was before I noticed the car doing anything weird. What do you use to clean the valve in your BOV's???

GFB is full of it.................you definitly need to maintain that BOV.....everyone i talk to has had to take it apart and lube it up every once in a while.....some more.....some less......but you definitly need to lube it.
use anykind of silicone lube.......GUNK makes a really good silicone lube.
