Boost issues with Accessport

Hi guys,

I own a 2002 WRX with a helix uppipe, turboxs dp, and Cobb accessport. Right now i am running the stage 2 software, but my max boost in 2nd,3rd,4th,and 5th is right about 14.5, maybe 15 psi. Does this sound consistent to you guys? I've read that most stage 2 wrx's make around 16-16.5 psi. Any comments?

contact cobb and ask them what boost levels you should be getting from that program.
are you running a free flowing airfilter?

thanks for the replys's guys. i am running the stock air filter. and using 93 gas. i think my issue might actually be with my boost gauge. its the stock subaru one, but i noticed recently that when the car is off, the needle rests lower than zero. this might make it read a lower boost while driving. im going to hook up a standard 0-20 psi air gauge and see what the result is.

The AccessPort also has the active boost level readings built into it. You should be able to see boost levels with that while driving (if you can drive it while the AP is plugged in.) Just a thought.

From what I understand the AP's boost level reading is almost .5 psi lower than what your boost gauge is going to read. So if the AP is reading 15 psi you should be good. Before I got my custom tune my ap would read about 14.8 psi at max boost. Now after the custom tune it reads 16.5 - 17.
