Stock intakes work better than any short ram intake

If you're stock, any sort of aftermarket intake won't do you any good. However, if you've put on a front mount intercooler or a larger turbo, then the Blitz SUS is one of the better short rams on the market. If you feel that it's a good deal, buy it first and hold on to it until your car is ready for it. If not, spend a bit more on an uppipe: you'll be a lot happier with the performance gains a new upipe will give your stock WRX.

Stock intake sucks when you upgrade the turbo. So why not buy it now since it's a good deal. BTW, I got mine for $80 used.
