(how to install) BLITZ sus cold air intake
BLITZ sus cold air intake
hi guys. i have a BLITZ sus cold air intake just sitting around.
i bought my car used, and this aftermarket part was given to me for free.
i dont know how to install it!!! can someone tell me how, or link me to instructions? i dont have instructions for it. i am handy with tools, however.
also, my friend offered to buy this item from me for 80$. should i sell it? if not, what would be a reasonable price?
it is used, but i look at it and its in great shape, clean and everything, and complete with all parts!
reply plz, thanks!

Sorry to go a bit off-topic, but isn't the Blitz SUS a short ram intake?
Oh, and if you really don't want it, $80 should be an okay price. The SUS retails new for about $120 if I recall correctly.

I don't think you should install the intake. People on the boards say that most aftermarket intakes make the MAF read inaccurately. I would rather sell the intake and save a little more for some braking power or some suspension tweaks.
oh whoops. i think you guys are right, my SUS blitz intake is Short ram, not cold air.
now for my last question.
you guys say that aftermarket intakes cause MAF problems, does this include both non coldair and cold air intakes?
so the short ram blitz sus intake causes problems with the MAF?

Honestly, an intake should not be your first mod. Many people are running the stock airbox even with major upgrades. I know a guy with a Crawford 2.8L stroker engine and an FP Green turbo that is still running the stock airbox with only a K&N drop in. If you do get an intake, make sure you have the tuning for it, or else you will run into problems.

I would not say that. Yes turbo's heat the air up a lot more then NA cars, but on the other hand if you have 10 degree cooler air going into the turbo you will have 10 degree cooler air coming out of it. The turbo is not going to work harder to heat up the air to the same temp if you do or don't have a CAI. Yes they work better in NA cars but they still help in any car. Would I spend $300 on a CAI ... NO but if you get it free or used for cheep then it is not going to hurt.
I know some have other views but just turn to Physics.
