Blitz DCII DTT Question For Those Who Has It

Hey guys, i just put my TT in for my 05 WRX and i was wondering... do you guys get a spike in the bost? i'll floor it and it will boost to like 1.03 then drop to .93 or .96 and then it will everyonce in a while (when floored) creep back up to 1.03 then drop agian... am i the only one with the problem? or is the turbo gauge on this turbo timer lying?

Its cold weather, and boost guages are not very accurate.

I live in St. Louis (500'above sea level) and I’ve had the TT installed for about 1.5 years. When the car was stock the readings would fluctuate a bit but I never hit over .95 hkpa (13.775 psi). My car is Cobb stage 2 now and I peak between 1.06 (15.37 psi) and 1.1 (15.95 psi) depending on conditions. If your car is stock I would think 1.03 hkpa (around 15 psi) is a bit high to be calling normal but then again I'm no expert.

BTW having car info and your location in your user profile will help you get better answers to your questions .

What was your question again?

I'll use your own words to re-work my original response: The turbo guage on this turbo timer is lying.

Also, you said nothing about your setup or where you tapped for vacuum

jason bro.... the question was...

"whats the highest ur DTT spikes up to? and when floored what does it usealy run? mines at .95ish and spikes 1.03"

the first question that i asked,

"Hey guys, i just put my TT in for my 05 WRX and i was wondering... do you guys get a spike in the bost? i'll floor it and it will boost to like 1.03 then drop to .93 or .96 and then it will everyonce in a while (when floored) creep back up to 1.03 then drop agian... am i the only one with the problem? or is the turbo gauge on this turbo timer lying?"

So you never asked, "...is the turbo gauge on this turbo timer lying?" ? I could swear you did. And the truth is, you don't really know the answer to the first questions if the answer to the last one is yes. What good are reasonings based upon those readings if your boost meter is not accurate?

Tap the vacuum source off the intake manifold, not on the BOV line. Readings can be quite different and sometime inconsistent at the BOV.
