Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

by the intake i mean the air side ofthe turbo and the throttle body. there was NO oil before the turbo though. im also leaking coolant but i didnt see any of that in the air side only exhaust side.

weird though because theres no shaft play to speak of. i would make sense though because its not spooling but i thought it was due to the o2 sensor being bad and the ECU not letting it.

some background on the car. i just bought it for a stupid low price. its a 01 RS with a WRX swap. the check engine light was on for somthing with the fuel pump and the o2 sensor. i fugures the ecu wasnt letting it boost. now im starting to think that the o2 was runied by the blown turbo. after i bought it i found out that it wouldnt hold coolant fir long but i couldnt see where it was going and it wasnt burning. when she started to overheat the last time while i was trying to limp it home i pulled over and refilled it with coolant but it wouldnt hold it. i traced it to coming out the bottom of the uppipe and then when the flatbed tilted the car a ton came out the exhaust. yesterday i went on a hunch (hell it wasnt doing anything sitting there) and pulled the turbo to find ALOT of oil in the intake track after the turbo (air side, IC piping, throttle body) which leads me to belive that my turbo is toast. any ideas?

the oil could be emissions from the pcv valve. is it a thin coating of the surfaces, or is there a lot of oil?
