Hey all I was possibly going to get a TXS Top Mount intercooler.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Yup, I used to have one on my old wrx wagon. Here are some pics before I sold it:

I used it with an STI hood scoop (you gotta have a bigger scoop imo) and jdm v7 splitter. I had to trim
the rubber and add weather stripping to make a good seal. The TXS TMIC is huge and making a perfect seal took me some time:

You can see the imprints of how close the ic sits to the splitter.

Overall its a good piece, TurboXS and Spearco seem to get the best reviews for top mounts.

Other than those two...APS and Perrin seem good....and personally I would stay away from the Ebay units.

Although if I were to ever upgrade the turbo on my STi, I would probably go front mount intercooler for less heat soak.
I daily drove the wagon and was in traffic a lot and let me tell you....once the big top mount gets hot.....

it stays hot!

Good choice on the intercooler though!
The welds on the metal look great.
Others Subaru guys that have the Turbo XS
IC told me it was a good choice too.

Sounds good since any top mount intercooler will start
to heat soak after sometime.

Um, you do know that radiator temps have NOTHING to do with intercooler temps, right?
