Yes, people will be able to share their own custom maps that are tuned with the AccessTuner. However, you gotta be careful with this because it is not a fully tested map and could result in problems on your vehicle. Personally I would just stick with the maps from Cobb, or one that was created from a tuner for your car. Cobb spent tons of time tuning out the maps they have on their website, so they are safe to use unless otherwise noted.

As far as the horsepower and torque listed on their website, it would be to the flywheel. When you look at the available maps page, the hp and tq they have listed next to the map is to the flywheel. If you want more info on the AccessPort, you'll find tons on the forum at cobbtuning.com. If you don't see anything, do a search!! I've found everything I have wanted to know on that website by searching it.

Hope that helps

Yes they do list HP at the flywheel but on the Dyno chart it is at the wheels. I know you know that but I just wanted to clarify for other people that might not know.

I went on Cobbs website and read through some of the threads; it seems that some people are having pinging problems with 2004 WRX once they install the 91 oct map. Is anyone out there running the Accessport on 2004 WRX in CA? If so what do you think? I am still thinking about getting one, but I'm very concerned about the Accessport messing up my 2004 WRX.

access port , what it realy is

The access port is a very powerfull tool , it may seem just A small piece of plastic with some high tech stuff inside with a little cord attached to but the scarriest thing it will do is get me divorced if she ever finds it!
"You Spent what? For What?"
Mine will be in shortly I hope , thank god it's easily tucked away when not in use.

I took the safe route and had it pre-approved by my wife. A ~$600 purchase would not go unnoticed especially when my wife is a Quicken wizard!

....yeah. I'm just waiting for my 'lil lady to tell me about an expensive item she wants to buy so I'll have an excuse to get the Accessport.

does it matter what she wants or how much what she wants costs???
Not in this army it doesn't!
window treatments and furnishings are much more important than anything we could want!

Question, can you run a map to run an octane lower than 91 to save on the price of gas and not hurt your car. Gas is expensive and if im not running my car hard i want to be able to save a little if possible.

Cobb told me I could send the AP back and trade it for the accesstuner and only pay the difference in price. If thats true I wouldnt hold my breath if I were you.

I dont think so but there is a fuel economy map that you can use but you have to drive it easy when you use it. This is a little off topic but what NHL team do you root 4?

from what I've come up with cobb does not and will not produce a map for -91 octane , if I am not mistaken anything less could be detrimental to the functioning of the motor.
Look on the bright side , the economy map is getting people 25mpg , some even more...a stage one map will instantly make you king poopy when some trailer trash mustang driver wants to show your little rice box who's boss and best of all you still have a four cylinder car and you di NOT get suckered into the "biggest SUV " competition , now those idiots are going to be paying through the nostrils!

Well any kind of fuel economy map would be nice. When you 18 trying to pay for gas you dont spend a whole lot of time racing and burning excess gas. And the hockey team i route for is Anaheim. So Cal kid what can i say
