2002 WRX wagon motor blew
Ok this suck I wanted a wrx wagon for a long time so last year I pick up a 2002 turbo wagon make a long store short my Radiator went out before I can pull over the motor stop working took to a shop where its been there for now 2 months, shop told me I need a new motor and my warranty would kick in and replace the motor but now the warranty called me last we and said no go now I'm sol this really suck big time I need my car back.....
i thought it read somewhere that a new 2.5L shortblock is like $1500? it might be worth it to swap in a shortblock rather than rebuild.
also, your motor doesn't instantly die right when the radiator develops a bad leak. you usually get a heads up from the massive amounts of white smoke or from the rising engine temp gauge that it is time to pull over and shut down the motor.....
i agree with others.. time for a second opinion and a trip to a reputable shop
