Unhappy 2002 WRX wagon motor blew

Ok this suck I wanted a wrx wagon for a long time so last year I pick up a 2002 turbo wagon make a long store short my Radiator went out before I can pull over the motor stop working took to a shop where its been there for now 2 months, shop told me I need a new motor and my warranty would kick in and replace the motor but now the warranty called me last we and said no go now I'm sol this really suck big time I need my car back.....

Took them two months to tell you you've a blown motor...

No they where working with the warranty group first it was a blown head gasket warranty group ask for a complete tear down which they will not pay for..

what reasoning is the warranty company giving you as to why they won't cover it?

I over heated the motor, I keep telling them if Radiator did not go out the motor would be fine they keep saying its my fault.....

shops are nutorious for this stuff,
just tryin to make extra money

Take your car to a different shop and get a second opinion before
you lose all hope.
See if you can't rebuild your shortblock?

Take it to a Subaru dealership and have them look at it. Did you buy the car private or from a dealership?

i thought it read somewhere that a new 2.5L shortblock is like $1500? it might be worth it to swap in a shortblock rather than rebuild.

also, your motor doesn't instantly die right when the radiator develops a bad leak. you usually get a heads up from the massive amounts of white smoke or from the rising engine temp gauge that it is time to pull over and shut down the motor.....

i agree with others.. time for a second opinion and a trip to a reputable shop
