It uses 2 exhaust streams and a different header/turbo/uppipe to allow 2 totally seperate exhaust streams to spool up the turbo quicker, yet retain high end efficiency. It is a mod to achieve low end grunt, while still screaming on top.

It is a cool setup IMO...we neet a few different things to make it work on the WRX...like a new oil pan.

The latest 4G63 Mitsu power plants use the Twin Scroll as well...and they are powerful motors.

Yes...you are very close...it looks like 2 uppipes that come together on 1 flange, but with 2 holes in the flange instead of one. The flange that joins the turbo that is!

Here are some pics:

OH YEAH~

The new STI has an 8,000 RPM redline! Just for everyone's information!...

It is right on the "Engine" sectgion of the soj/sedan/sti website. The heading on the EJ207 for the STI 8 sasy 8.000 RPM.

although i haven't really heard about a solid redline figure, the way they built the valvetrain is much better than before and easily could handle an 8000 rpm limit. but if it makes it's max hp figure at like 5000, why rev it to the moon?

If you take a look at one of the pictures in the gallery, https://www.i-club.com/gallery/showp...papass=&sort=1 , you can clearly see that the redline is 7000rpms.
