2.5 or 3 inch exhaust sound difference?

2.5 or 3 inch exhaust sound difference?
I know power is somewhat minimal between 2.5 and the 3inch exhausts out there. But was wondering if one may sound better?

Most 3in mufflers are gonna be a little louder than 2.5in mufflers. They are usually freer flowing mufflers. I just changed from a Prodrive 2.5 inch axle back to an Espelir 3in. catback and it was noticably louder. But i am used to it now and i like the sound better. I would go 3in. all the way if possible, especially if you are planning on upgrading your turbo or wanting more power int eh future.
