18 inch in the back and 17 inch in the front

Right now i'm running 18 inch 225-40-18 in the back of my 06 wrx nd the stock 17 inch on the front. is this a good idea? The only reason i'm doing this cuz i'm short on cash right now to put tires on the 18 inch. Thanks

Put your stockers on all the way around and wait to put your 18's on until after you have all four. Besides looking like crap, you've got different overall circumferences between front and rear which is not going to make your AWD driveline very happy. You really want to have all four tires the same size, the same make and model, and with the same wear.

are you serious?

These are not front wheel drive rice rocket drag cars.

running a set up like this is a sure fire way to screw up your driveline.

Run the stockers until you can afford a MATCHING set of wheels and tires...meaning the same or very very close tread debth, etc.

-1 for that. No offense but that would look straight retarded. Not to mention the technical setbacks behind it.
