get a gutted uppipe off of ebay for 75 bucks. I forget the guys name but if you see a gutted stock uppipe for 75 bucks on ebay just ask if he knows deegan42. Not only will you get the gutted uppipe but after you install it you can sell him your catted uppipe for 40 dollars. Pimpin. So if you can do it yourself then it is a 25 dollar mod, if not then you still have to get it installed which costs 150 plus. So do it yourself!!!! dont be like me, i got mine installed at a shop cause my whole exhaust was rusted/salted together.

If you can do the install yourself, I would say an up-pipe (will provide the most noticeable improvement in performance) - intercooler hoses are nice for install/removal of the intercooler, but don't really improve performance much.

Smile Different opinion

I'd say short shifter and bushings. I would wait on the uppipe until you're ready to buy a whole turboback. Once you take all the pipes off to install your uppipe you'll wish that you were going to finish the job and replace the whole exhaust. Save yourself the time of having to remove all those parts again later and buy the shifter. Having an STI short shifter with kartboy bushings myself, and having driven with the stock long shifter, there is a significant difference in the "feel" of the car as you shift (about 30% shorter than stock making the shift feel more aggressive.) I personally think for the amount of time that it will take you to install this part (about 1.5 hours or so) as opposed to the 7+ hours it will take to get to your uppipe, go with the shifter.

Buy a boost gauge if you don't have one. It won’t make your car faster but it will warn you of boost issues that could hurt your car. If you already own a gauge I would have to agree with the others and say an uppipe. The uppipe will increase performance and protect your turbo.
