UTEC Launch Control

Any brave (or rich) souls out there using this feature?

I'm skeered.

Yep. I knew Pat used it, and broke 2 trannies so far... But then again, Pat has the "do whatever it takes cuz' I am willing to spend the money" attitude that I can't afford (literally) to have.

I used it a few times on the rally car, but mostly it just made me nervous. I don't use it much now, but I may start using it again in the future for flat shifting (/antilag).

The UTEC's launch control is a secondary rev limiter that is usually activated when the clutch pedal is pushed in (although you could wire it up to a pushbutton on your steering wheel).

Thanks for the reply Platypus. Unless I win an STi-RA gearset in a raffle or something I don't think I'll be brave (or rich) enough to try it out.

I might try it when I finish my transmission. Or maybe I'll just murder the stocker. Don't be skeered.

How do you change it from a rev limiting function to the anti-lag function?
