Utec check engine light flash
Hello I have Utec stage two New map check engine light flash everytime I push the car, I disable the CEL put value to 0 on the user contants I throught this would solve my problem, when I purchase the downpipe it came with a cel fix but I throught because I have Utec I don't need a cel fix resistor on my 02 sensor. please help anyinfo is great. Also other Utec owner have you experience this before UTEC I have Hallman boost controller 40 dollars I was able to run full boost from 3700 rpm 16 psi all the way to redline any gear even first now with the Utec install it will only creep to 16 PSI intil the car hit like 5000 RPM PSI will drop to 12 or 10 Which I think it's really bad. everyone know how to solve this problem or have experience this problem

The UTEC flashes the CEL when it detects KNOCK!!
Its a knock light. You are knocking when you push your car. You need to grab a laptop and do some tuning to get rid of it or you are going to damage your engine. There is a reason they have a manual, you need to read it.
The boost is SUPPOSED TO taper at redline. 10-12 PSI at redline is exactly what it should be on the stock turbo.
I would blame the knock on that 16pSI peak. Or it could be timing realated, or fueling related. Read up and learn how to use your UTEC or sell it because its gonna cost you A LOT in the long run. If you are unwilling(are you?) or unable, you should sell it for a reflash, which requires no end user tuning. Same power but safer for those who dont know how or are unwilling to tune it themselves. The UTEC is MUCH more feature loaded than a reflash, but it really sounds like the wrong system for you

yeah, when your cel flashes it means your engine is knocking.
you need to tune that thing so it doesn't do that, knock is bad for your engine and you need to do something to fix that. as davenow said, read the manual. i would suggest paying someone to tune it for you, it will save you money in the long run

yes you are ABLE to, that doesnt mean that you SHOULD
16PSI at redline is VERY far out of the stock turbos efficiency range
As far as the UTEC goes, it can run whatever you want. Just set it to the boost level you want.
FYI, the stock turbo maxes out at 17PSI peak and about 13PSI at redline. Any higher than that and its out of its range and you are just making hot air

all the turbo xs map are for 93 octane I live is california I'm using 91 octane anyone have a map to share for 91 octane with just turbo back exahaust thank you email me aerogear2002@aol.com
