to flash or not to flash...
ait. playa 7 just suggested that even though exhaust wise all i have is an axle back (though the DP is sittin in my room; STILL waitin on MP) i can attach the AP and flash to S1/92oct. is this a good idea? and does that AP need to stay plugged in at all times or can i just plug/flash/unplug. a little help here would be good...thanks.
I didn't reflash the ecu with my AP till I got everything for stage 2. I was running parts my uppipe and downpipe without reflashing for stage 1.
I'd say go for it, that way you can feel the differences between the stages.
Once you do the reflash, you don't need to have the AP connected all the time. You only connect it when you want to change maps.

yes! go for it...you paid good money for the AP, so by all means why not? ....you can always switch through any stage realtime maps real quick at any moment
....base maps take around 10min....oh and its a 91oct map not 92oct...always flash below the oct that you use...eg: 91oct if use 92oct gas / 93oct if using 94oct or racing fuel....
if you need help flashing or about maps then ask...PM or post up

ok, so i went to flash my ecu, and i discover after readin the manual on it, that i have the wrong INIT key, how do i get the RIGHT one?? i have downloaded/installed/updated the AP (changed the ECU ID to the 2003 WRX MT, though there are two of them). so yeah...im stuck on this until i can get the new key.
Not quite understand what you're asking. Your AP comes w/ a CD containing all the maps. If you're talking about the year... then you can download them on Cobb's website.

^^^that is true
you only need the key for flashing base maps....realtime maps can be changed any time with just the AP...if you read the notes for each map it states that base maps are slightly better than just using realtime maps...so i recommend getting one anyways
