Hello all,
I finally went to the track to see what she'd run. Track conditions where hot and sticky here in S. Florida.
I had two runs last night running identical 13.55 at 102.8 and 102.5mph. One run was a 13.7 at 101mph. All were 2.0 or 1.9 60'.
Now I plan on upgrading the IC to a Vishnu and adding the water spray.

For starters each .1 sec off of your 60' time is almost 2/10th's off your overall ET. So if you were hitting 1.7-1.8 you could have been getting 13.3-13.5.
Now as far as what gear your in, I swear when I was on the stock turbo I'd be at the top of third at the end of the 1/4 mile run. When I switched to a larger turbo, I had to start shifting into 4th. My shift points were roughly 1st(7000), 2nd(7000), 3rd(6800).
Many of the other VF30 guys that I know of are in the 12 sec range and trap at around 104-107.
By breaking into the 100+MPH range you've got some power on tap. But your times are not showing it
I was hitting 13.5@99 on the stock turbo.

REMEMBER, I HAVE A VF22 BALLBEARING. ANYHOW, THAT'S GOOD NEWS. IT MEANS THAT I HAVE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. I'VE ONLY BEEN TO THE TRACK TWICE. PLUS, I'M NOT LAUNCHING THE CAR EXCESIVELY HARD. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. :-)
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION,
JOSE
I'LL POST AGAIN, ONCE I GO BACK TO THE TRACK.

The problem here, is one or more of the following...
Improper shifting
poor track
bad weather
bad tuning
if your bogging of the line its going to significantly increase your 60' times. and since you have less time to get to the end of the 1320 its going to mean your chances of hitting a higher trap speed. in others words a smoother launch will get you faster times.

Eitherway, a VF22 is the largest of the IHI turbo's and you should be going even faster.
