stupid question STI INJECTORS on STOCK WRX???? Will This Work?

I am buying a 02 wrx from a friend which has more mods than I would care for.
we are in the process of bringing it back to just intake and exhaust. wewant to leave the sti injectors in it to save time. He says the car has a learning ecu and it will be fine with the larger injectors. I not so sure that will work. I would like to be able to b**** slap him with some knowledge. So any input on the situation would help.

Thanks

Andy

I think it will run, but not well. I know people install upgraded injectors, turbo, and exhaust, and then are able to drive someplace locally to get it tuned but it doesn't run like the stock vehicle. I don't know anyone who uses STi injectors with the stock turbo but this is a mod that works with mildly upgraded turbos for a reason. These injectors may be outside of the learning ability of the stock ECU but I guess you will find out when you test drive the car before buying.
