Is a reflash really needed w/turbo back and uppipe?
exaclty what the subject mentions
i will soon have a TuroXS turbo back exhaust and a catless uppipe.
1) will i damage my car without a reflash or different ECU? Or will the stock ecu be okay...i know i'll be sacrificing power w/o an ecu but im willing to do so if it won't ruin my car.
2) Which would be the best for my setup and is there a difference with the reflash if you have a 4Eat? Or do i just need to tell the company who's going to do the reflash ahead of time.
thanks, eric

1. No you do not need a reflash. But if you want maximum HP/TQ, you should get it.
2. Whatever your plans, you tell the tuner what you have and your car type, he'll then suggest what's best... Then they will do the rest. You do not need to know anything technical in nature. It's fool proof as all the grunt work is done in regards to engine tuning.

You won't hurt the car in any way by not upgrading the ECU. The main issue is the fact that you've already spent quite a bit of money to improve performance and you could probably double that improvement with a $400 reflash. Well worth the extra money in my opinion. If you're short on cash you can wait indefinitely before upgrading with no problems, I did. I recommend Cobb Tuning's stage 2(91 octane) reflash. They answer all their emails and phone calls immediately if you have any questions. I don't think the 4EAT makes any difference.
