Sorry I am new with this car so if this is a stupid question please excuse. Does this mean that the ECU on the STI is adaptive?

will this take care of P0171 lean condition caused by an aftermarket intake?

No. The first post in the thread describes what it does, which is to set the ignition advance multiplier only, not air/fuel ratio. It also states that if you are experiencing an actual lean condition (as indicated by a CEL), using the described technique may make things worse under acceleration or any load.

Remove the aftermarket intake and reset the ECU to get rid of the CEL. If you want to keep your intake, have your car professionally tuned and they can diagnose the CEL and check for an actual lean condition.

Yes, i did it and at idle i did feel slight shuddering. I didnt do any sprints. I am going to reflash it again for 8 points!

I also wonder if duct-taping 1/3 of the airfilter and a reflash will solve the problem.

I also wonder if by using JB weld, (isnt it already interesting?) reducing the diameter of the intake tubing to stock. around the MAF only with a tapering form of 1 inch -+ before and after the MAF sensor.
