Do I need a boost gauge and/or an EGT gauge for a Cobb Stage 2 reflash (93 octane)?

Thanks, I was hoping I wouldnt need to get that stuff, I probably will in the future but I really want to get my ECU reflashed and I only have around $400, so I don't have to wait till I have enough money for gauges

 

Parallax thats a good question. I suggest you call or e-mail Cobb and ask them. Whenever boost is increased so goes exhaust temps. Since you're getting the stageII those things (boost and temp) should be kept in check. I was going to ask the same question but I figured that the guys with only Manual boost controllers are still doing ok on stock exhausts and cats so I figured the re-flash stage one would be ok w/out guages. Whenever I get enough spare change for a re-flash I'm going to call them and/or check into their tech articles and forums right on Cobb's site.

 

at a MINIMUM, I'd suggest a boost gauge with a peak/warning light.

There have been a few times that I had my wastegate line pop off and I boosted over 30 psi...warning light saved me butt.
