Just curious as to if LM-1 is a tuning device why is Engine Management such as UTEC or Street Tuner necessary? I mean i ordered Street Tuner from Cobb and it is recommended by many to get an LM-1...why would i need to do this? Plus if ST is not WB Sensor compatible how may i tune properly? Am i makeing sense?

I would suggest that before you order any more engine management parts from Cobb (or anyone else), that you might spend some time to do research on modern engine management and tuning. It would save you a lot of grief if you learned some of the basic concepts and terminology.

The LM1 is just a wideband O2 sensor. A tuner uses logs from a wideband O2 sensor to tune the a/f ratio in the ECU. Without one, the tuner has almost no way of knowing what a/f ratio the tune is running.

Do not tune fuel without a wideband O2 sensor. It is stupid. Anyone who argues differently is talking out of their ***. The only exception is tuning with and EGT gauge. But this is not going to be anywhere as helpful as having a bona fide AFR reading - just look at all the opposing theories on EGTs for EJ engines. You didn't get upgrades and new engine management to ruin your engine.
Get a WB O2 sensor. Best case if you can integrate your EM and WB logs.
