Which gauges should I get?
I just got myself a new A-Pillar Gauge Pod.
I've been waiting for my warranty to run out before I start doing any serious mechanical mods to my WRX but I have a feeling I'm going to be investing a lot of time and money under the hood in the not so distant future. I'd like to have some more gauges to help me keep an eye on things when that happens. My WRX has been a learning process from day one and I could really do with some help making this decision.
So, I've now got space for 3 new Gauges and I have my eye on the Omori WRX OEM look gauges. And since I already have a Turbo Gauge there's 4 left for me to choose from:
Electrical EGT
Electrical Oil Pressure
Electrical Oil Temp
Electrical Intake Manifold Temp
Which 3 should I get?
Thanks in advance,
Huck

Let me give you an advice and please keep this one. First, I have a wrx like you. second, i put nothing but quality jdm parts for my car. So, to answer your question, you should get Defi Gauges with the control link unit. I have the BF 60mm gauges(boost, fuel press, oil press, egt, oil temp, water temp + control link unit).
The whole **** costed me close to $1300. I got them from
gruppe-s.com.
HKS also has some great looking gauges. And so does apexi and greddy.
If you want quality parts go to takakaira.com or sumopower.com

Curious, what benefits do I gain from $1300 gauges as opposed to the $500 gauges I have my eye on? I havent read any complaints regarding Omori Gauges.
I don't really have a lot of expendable cash these days and I can think of a bunch of other parts I would rather spend the extra $800 on. I'd rather ride the fine line between quality and value.

Dont listen to that JDM is better crap. Omori is a very good company.
The most essential are Boost and EGT.
The other more vital gauges would be oil pressure, water temp, or oil temp. In that order.

So, since I already have a boost gauge, the census is for me to get Electrical EGT, Electrical Oil Pressure, and Electrical Oil Temp gauges?
Anyone else got any input?

It's true that JDM parts like Defi aren't the best out there. It's a good quality though. Autometer is the only company I would go for that isn't JDM. Besides, Autometer makes a complete gauge set from boost, temps to pressures, etc. As far as Omori goes, they're quality brand.
The only reason I have Defi is that I want to enter my car in the JDM class. My whole interior set up is pretty much simple (Quality over Quantity). I have the Gold Sti Pedals, Sti e-brake handle, Sti steering wheel, STi Gauge Cluster, Sti Short Shift kit, Zero sports Shift boot and Momo shift ****.

Thank you everyone.
And PogiMarky, I totally understand. Hell, the main reason I want the Omori Gauges is so that I can retain a stock looking interior. I dont mind flash but I want to blend my pizzazz into the background.
