Shiv (Vishnu) is a great tuner but you will be better off with a custom tune.

i cant seem to find any info for tuning in my area. dont want a basic setup tune want actual dyno tune with a reflash or other tuner program. not sure what type of engine management i wanted but if there are shops that specialize with one i might consider.
Jorge's user name is RiftsWRX. Here's a link to a thread that he posted in (might need to register) http://www.projectwrx.com/modules.ph...=viewtopic&t=1 . I'm not positive he has a dyno but if he doesn't I'm sure he could road tune it. PM him and I'm sure he will be happy to help.
Here's a link to a PDF written by him (good read) http://www.projectwrx.com/caringforyourvehicle.pdf
Talk to him about what EM would be best, I'm guessing It'll be the AP.

Has anyone used openecu's ecuflash program to tune your own car(s). I got the cable to do my own, and now I'm stuck. Do I have to buy maps or can I get them from certain sites? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

well first I don't know where the obd prot is in my car? and secondly, does the cable have to be connected before any options appear with the ecuflash program? When I start the program, nothing comes up. I just don't want to mess my car up to where it wont run.
i havent used that program
im runing a link
the obd port is on teh steering collum where your shins are you have to have your head on the floor board and look up
there is a cut out in the platic trim
i hook up the lap top and connect with the ecu do some changes then start it up and go

You can modify you're own map(since you sound like kinda nooby I'd recommend against it until you do lots & lots of reading). You can also purchase maps from XPT which sells them on www.osecuroms.org .
I've been using ECUFlash & Enginuity for over 6 months, I've tunes 20 or so cars with good results.
