ECU on a 2000 RST

This may seem like a stuped question but what kind of piggy back ECU can I use on my 2000 RS I have heard that my normal ECU will learn around an SAFC is there any truth there I would suspect yes but I cant get a strait answer. I can not afford to get a standalone just not in the cards right now.

Yes there is some truth to this. Though it partially depends on the ECU which is dependant on the year of the RS. A 98 RS can use an AFC though no other model years can. Any other years needs an aftermarket ECU currently. Though there is a little something in the works right now by I-Speed USA. A reflash for the RS and possibly an RS-T in the future.
