Accessport Question

Revert to stock question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys,
I am reverting my 02 WRX from a protuned Cobb Accessport stage 2 map to it's stock map for a smog test I have this week. I already replaced the catless dp with the one from the factory so all should be good. My question is do I have to put my car into test mode to change it back to stock or can I i just plug in the Accessport and change the car back to stock w/o being in test mode? Thanks in advance!

I believe you have to put it in test mode to change the base map (which is what youre doing when reverting it back to stock)

Out of curiosity, is Cobb's that much different from Ecutek that you have to revert it back?

FWIW, that's my EM on an 04 STi and here in NY we also have emission inspections every year, i'm catted(aftermarket) though and passed it twice already and i didn't have to do anything about my tune.

Sorry if i can't be of help to you...

I don't know about the ECUTek but I just changed my base map to the stock map already in the Accessport's memory, When I put my TBE back on I will have to go back and reflash the ECU back to the Stage 2 map but I'm good to go for tomorrows smog test b/c I'm sellin the Rex for an STi. Thanks.
